My background, my path
I am Christine von Fragstein, facilitator, companion for change processes and challenges. In times of change, I accompany people with calm, foresight and a clear compass. “You want it all” is my motto: baker's daughter, career as a project manager and curator with around 700 events in the international festival and cultural industry, party animal with a huge network, mother of twins, passionate art fan and sportswoman.
I was in a fog from time to time along the way. Until I understood that all we need in these moments is to rest, reflect and catch our breath so that we can take the next big step with renewed strength.
I have been supporting people and teams in the cultural sector and companies in change processes and sustainable projects since 2017.
The Change Animal emerges.
Equipped with a well-stocked toolbox of methods, I experience fascinating AHA moments with my clients in 1:1 reflection and teamwork: We examine the core, the story, the basic assumptions and create a lot of space for the wisdom of all participants in a trusting framework. We observe with curiosity what can emerge and how we shape our own reality. Scope opens up and enables authentic change throughout the entire system, which is not imposed but lived together.
The essence is working at eye level, flanked by appreciation and agile cooperation and reflection in the flow. I am infinitely grateful for the many gifts and insights that are revealed to me every day - because the knowledge is in the system. It's basically all there, we just forget or overlook it sometimes.
Why I burn for what I do.
I have been part of the international film industry for 18 years. As a cultural manager, curator and project manager, I am responsible for large-scale projects and develop, finance and curate more than 500 events for: Berlinale Talents, Zurich Film Festival, ministries, municipalities, DFB Kulturstiftung, RUHR.2010. The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung titled a portrait of me as "Always looking for variety". As a working nomad, I live in shared flats, sleep on five o'clock trains, work in umpteen cities with the most creative people in the industry. And at night, I'm a welcome party animal.
I am deeply convinced that much more creativity is possible if we build good, appreciative structures, design clear processes and define roles in a meaningful way. After many years, I realized in 2017: even with good budgets and exciting content, for me, self-leadership and teamwork is the central factor in the success or failure of projects, initiatives and companies.
It is about nothing less than employees who either rise above themselves or eke out an existence silently. About teams that reach unimagined heights together or teams that block themselves. About projects that could take off or hit the ground despite support. Only because structures and roles have not been clarified or because it is possible to deal with them if we build good, appreciative structures, design clear processes and define roles in a meaningful way.
I leave my familiar paths and go in search of a foundation for authentic visions, appreciation and dialogue at eye level. I completed three years of trainings as a facilitator and systemic coach and attended many international seminars: Embodiment, Hypnosystemic Approaches, Organisational Development, The Circle Way, Visualisation.
Additionally, I trained in agile and creative project management methods like Scrum and Design Thinking. It was an inspiring learning journey and I found what I was looking for.
